Elyse is a student of anatomy. Her knowledge of the structure of humans and other organisms frames her artistic vision. But it is her love of form that defines her art and gives it emotional strength. Elyse is keenly attuned to nature and sees beauty in its remnants. Bones, antlers, feathers, and other natural elements become the subjects of her jewelry. The nuance and subtlety of these delicate objects inspire pieces that are pleasing to hold, to view, and to wear.
Elyse currently lives in Dallas, Texas where she teaches art at Greenhill School. In 2007, she earned her BFA in Printmaking from the Rhode Island School of Design.
